A Brief History of the Betsy Ross Flag
During the Revolutionary War, several patriots made flags for our new Nation. Among them were Cornelia Bridges, Elizabeth (Betsy) Ross, Rebecca Young, all of Pennsylvania, and John Shaw of Annapolis, Maryland. Although Betsy Ross, the best known of these persons, made flags for 50 years, there is no proof that she made the first Stars and Stripes. It is known that she made flags for the Pennsylvania State Navy in 1777. The flag popularly known as the “Betsy Ross flag,” which arranged the stars in a circle, did not appear until the early 1790s.

Repair any minor rips or tears right away this can be mended easily with a sewing machine or sewing kit. Keep the surface of the pole free of dirt, rust or corrosion that could damage or stain your flag.
We recommend that you hand-wash your flag with mild soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry. You can also use a dry cleaning service.
Exposing your flag to rain, wind, snow or high winds will shorten the life of your flag considerably. If you leave your flag exposed to the elements, it will greatly reduce the life of your flag.
Yes, as long as your pole is large enough to support the weight of the flags. The USA Flag must always fly at the top. The flag underneath should be at least one foot lower and be one size smaller than the USA Flag. Flags of other countries are not to be flown beneath the USA Flag.

I live in a very windy area. I go through flags quite often, if the wind doesn't get 'em the sun does (summer runs from about 110-118 degrees). This Betsy Ross Heritage flag is very heavily constructed, four rows of stitching across the end should be helpful against our ripping winds. Stripes are double stitched, stars are embroidered, and though I'd prefer triple stitching on the stripes, the double stitching will hopefully withstand the strain.
Note: Although this flag is listed as a 3x5 I can attest that it is larger, not 4x6 but larger than your standard 3x5, either that or I got an odd ball, either way ... I LIKE IT!

I bought a traditional American flag and a Tea Stained Betsy Ross and they are great! They fly in the slightest of wind and are made with great quality standards as they stitch each stripe separately and the stars are embroidered. Each one with no rouge threads coming out. I expect these flags to last a long time. Worth every penny!
